Cardiovascular system

Cardiovascular system and animal is responsible for the transportation of various material in   the  body .
Cardiovascular system includes three components  blood, the heart and blood vessels.
In cardiovascular system , blood is  pumped by heart throughout the body.

Blood -  Blood is a connective tissue which flows in the blood vessels. It transports Oxygen and Carbon dioxide between lungs and tissues of body. It transports nutrients after   absorption in the process of digestion towards the other parts of our body .Blood carries various hormones from the endocrine glands towards target organs. It is also responsible for the transport of waste material like urea from liver towards the kidney .Blood is also responsible for the regulation of pH, body temperature and water content. Blood helps in against blood loss through the clotting mechanism and also keeps our body safe against various diseases through the action of WBC.
Heart - It is a muscular organ and pumps blood throughout the body. In human, heart is four chambered. Superior chambers are known as “Atria” while inferior chambers are known as “Ventricles”. Atria receive blood from body parts and ventricles pumps blood towards body-parts.

Blood-vessels- These are the tubes in which blood  flows. These are of three types- Artery, Veins and capillary.
  • Artery - In these tubes ,blood flows from heart towards other body parts.
  • Veins - These tubes carry blood from body parts to heart.
  • Capillaries-These are fine tubes connecting artery and vein in tissues of body parts.
