Alimentary canal is complete as it starts from mouth and ends with anus.  Alimentary canal has following parts-     Mouth:  It is a main opening of alimentary canal and guarded with lips. Mouth opens in a cavity i.e. buccal cavity.  Buccal cavity:  This is also known as  oral cavity or mouth cavity and it is a space between our cheeks. The roof of buccal cavity is made by palate while tongue is present at floor. Buccal cavity is also bounded by jaws in front. Upper jaw is fixed while lower jaw is movable. Jaws contain teeth for mastication of food .   Teeth:  Teeth are used for grinding and mastication of food inside the buccal cavity. मानव का हृदय गुलाबी रंग का एवं शंकु के आकार का होता है । यह वक्ष गुहा में फेफड़ों के बीच स्थित होता है । हृदय का वाह्य   आवरण दो स्तर   का होता है जिसे “ पेरिकार्डियम (Pericardium) ” कहा जाताहैं । पेरिकार्डियम के भीतर एक गुहा   होती है  जिसे “पेरिकार्डियल गुहा (Pericardial Cavity) ” कहा जाता हैं और इस गुहा में “ पेरिकार्डियल   द्रव (Pericardial Fluid) ” भरा होता है यह ह्रदय को नम बनाए रखता है और हृदय स्पंदन की समय हृदय को घर्षण से भी बचाता है तथा वाह्य आघात   से हृदय की रक्षा करता है।   मानव हृदय अन्य स्तनधारियों की तरह चार कक्षीय होता है . ऊपर के कक्ष अलिंद (Atrium) कहलाते हैं जबकि नीचे के कक्ष निलय (Ventricle) कहलाते हैं   एवं कोरोनरी - सल्कस (Coronary sulcus) द्वारा अलग रहते हैं।    अलिंद शरीर के विभिन्न भागों से आए रुधिर को ग्रहण करते हैं जबकि निलय   द्वारा रुधिर को शरीर के विभिन्न भागों में ...

पोषण (Nutrition)    वह प्रक्रिया जिसके द्वारा कोई जीव भोजन ग्रहण करता है और उसका उपयोग करता है, पोषण कहलाती है। पोषण की आवश्यकता: जीवों को विभिन्न गतिविधियों को करने के लिए ऊर्जा की आवश्यकता होती है। ऊर्जा की आपूर्ति पोषक तत्वों द्वारा की जाती है। जीवों को वृद्धि और मरम्मत के लिए विभिन्न पदार्थों की  आवश्यकता होती है जो  पोषक तत्वों द्वारा प्रदान किए जाते हैं। पोषक तत्व: वे पदार्थ जो जीवों को पोषण प्रदान करते हैं, पोषक तत्व कहलाते हैं। कार्बोहाइड्रेट, प्रोटीन और वसा मुख्य पोषक तत्व हैं और वृहद् पोषक तत्व  कहलाते हैं। खनिजों और विटामिनों की कम मात्रा में आवश्यकता होती है और इसलिए उन्हें सूक्ष्म पोषक तत्व कहा जाता है। पोषण के तरीके 1. स्वपोषी पोषण 2. विषमपोषी पोषण स्वपोषी पोषण (Autotrophic Nutrition) - पोषण की वह विधि जिसमें जीव अपना भोजन स्वयं तैयार करता है स्वपोषी पोषण कहलाता है। हरे पौधे और नीले-हरे शैवाल पोषण के स्वपोषी तरीके का पालन करते हैं। वे जीव जो स्वपोषी पोषण करते हैं, स्वपोषी (Autotrophs)  कहलाते हैं। सभी हरे पेड़ -पौंधे स्वपोषी हैं।   स्...
